I was recently gifted a wonderful Star Necklet from Browns new Soleil Collection – here are my thoughts on this delicate and beautiful piece.
Jewellery is something that can be quite special to me. I don’t wear a lot of it – but oh how I’d love to be the kind of girl layering bangles upon bangles around her wrists with oddball rings on every finger (I’ve tried. Midi-rings all fall off and the bangles are so irritable, clicking against my desk at work as I type), but alas I am not (unless it’s for a gig or something). I own many accessories for this exact occasion. But when it comes to real jewellery, my collection is limited.
Why? Because my small collection is, for the most part, special to me. I have necklaces gifted from my parents which I’ll never part with, but I’m also petrified of wearing out because if I lost something my mum had given me, I’d be devastated. I have a beautiful necklace from Egypt which spells my name in hieroglyphics, and some wonderful bracelets from my sister, niece and friends. Never have I actually purchased or picked ‘real’ jewellery for myself – nothing particularly glamorous or luxurious. So when Browns got in touch recently to ask if I wanted to choose a piece from one of their new collections, I took my time to decide what I wanted!
I’m not the most glamorous person in the world, so I wanted to choose something that I could wear (nearly) every day but that was a little bit classier than your average piece of jewellery. Eventually, I decided on the wonderful Star Necklet from Brown’s new Soleil Collection.

The Soleil Collection
The website states;
“The Soleil Collection is inspired by the golden glow of sunny climes, beautifully rich in appearance; comprised of molten gold offset with white stones as the sun flickers and dances in the sky. Perfect for everyday styling.”
I chose this necklace because as soon as I saw it, I thought it was very me. The stars were, in my eyes, a definite nod to the type of ‘edgy’ jewellery I used to wear. But is now a style that is very dreamy and stylish.
The necklace itself is delicate and dainty, but the bold stars helps it stand out. It looks wonderful by itself. Although I think it’ll look amazing paired with a pretty dress for a special occasion, this past weekend I wore it just with a cosy oversized jumper and felt the necklace complemented the outfit extremely well. It gave a bit of glamour to an otherwise pretty laid-back look!
The necklet is also ideal for layering. I’ve already seen a few similar styles on the website that it would go perfectly with, especially the Moon Drop Star Necklace.

My Thoughts
The arrival of the jewellery was a gift in itself. It arrived beautifully packed in a wonderful Browns jewellery box. This was then packaged in another box with a beautiful brown bow! These little touches meant that the entire process made me feel really special, even down to unpacking the product.
This piece includes multiple loops that enables it to be worn at different lengths. It’s 9-carat yellow gold Vermeil. According to the website, the Soleil Collection Star Necklace was inspired by falling stars. How beautiful!

The dainty necklace compliments me so well and I can’t believe how much it dresses up such a casual outfit. If this was a gift from someone else, I would have been over the moon.
Browns’ Soleil Collection is absolutely perfect for gifting someone special. But what stands out for me is just how versatile the entire collection is. It’s ideal for when you want to treat someone who adores jewellery and already has tons but wants something a little bit more playful. Or for someone who only wears jewellery on special occasions who wants something really pretty they can wear on a day-to-day basis. There’s surely something for everyone in this lovely collection.
What I also love is that everything in the collection is so beautiful. There are many necklaces you could layer with this one, so it’s a gift you could add to time and time again.
What do you think of this wonderful necklet and the Soleil Collection? Let me know!
