Here on Formidable Joy, I want to inspire people to travel. I do this in a few different ways:

  • Highlighting fun, unique, unusual and quirky things to do around the UK and Europe. I also occasionally write about hidden gems (although what places really are hidden gems these days?) and places further afield like the USA.
  • Helping people travel in a more budget-friendly way, by suggesting affordable, pocket-friendly and even free things to do.
  • Sharing honest, real and authentic reviews about the places I go and where I stay. If I have visited somewhere on a gifted or paid stay/press trip, my readers can rely on me to share my honest opinion – good and bad.

Formidable Joy currently receives around 5,000 page views a month, but you can get in touch with me for a press kit with more statistics. My most successful platform is Pinterest, which receives around 79.68k impressions and 1.63k clicks back to my website per month. Over half of my traffic comes directly from Pinterest alone!

Offering something a bit more offbeat, dark and scary? My niche blog, The Morbid Tourist, is all about spooky travel and morbid tourism. I absolutely love reviewing scare attractions and checking out haunted locations over there. It’s a very specific – but well-received – niche. I’m also open to collaborations, partnerships and press reviews/trips on The Morbid Tourist.

Why Work With Me

As a nano-influencer and content creator, I go above and beyond for brands that choose to work with me. As a business owner, I have more time and expertise to offer lots of creative content across social media to support any blog posts. If I’m reviewing a gifted stay, there’s no doubt I’ll be sharing Instagram stories during my stay. And creating additional video content for TikTok. And writing follow-up blog posts about things to do in the area. A lot of the time, I’m just so happy and grateful for having the opportunity to travel! And, of course, getting lots of great content for my own channels.

Having a smaller following on top platforms such as Instagram and TikTok also means that my audience is much more tailored and engaged. My readers follow me for ideas of things to do and budget travel tips whilst listening to my guidance. They trust me, take inspiration from me and plan trips based on my recommendations.

Finally, in a world where social media continues to grow and overwhelm, I think it’s so important to have a website. This is a place where all those great ideas and recommendations will never go away. Social media is fun (and frustrating!), but for me, it’s only ever an add-on to my blog and another tool to drive traffic.

Working with me will provide longevity and evergreen content – and if you want some great imagery and video content as well, I offer that too! You will always get the highest value from my website, and that’s something that TikTok creators or Instagram influencers cannot re-create.
