I also had the pleasure of trying out one of the massage bars and got a mini arm/hand massage by one of the lovely ladies (who’s name escapes me right now!). As she talked through the different products and their uses, I felt myself growing more and more relaxed as she used Wiccy Magic Muscles (btw have I mentioned how much I LOVE Lush’s product names?!) on my skin. The blend of cinnamon and peppermint oils in the bar left my arm feeling much less achy and tense (I had been at work all day) and the knobbly aduki beans massaged my skin and felt AMAZING.
She also told me about another one of their top products for Valentines, which was the Dirty Massage Bar. You can use it alone or with a partner and it can be used as a massage bar but, the chocolate in the middle is actually edible! So if you’re into that type of thing, you can use the bar on your partners skin and lick off the vegan chocolate in the middle!
Throughout the evening we also had the chance to ask any questions and talk about our favourite products, as well as having more demonstrations. I had a lot of fun just mingling and chatting with the lovely staff and other bloggers; our conversations varying from the products (obviously), the days of MSN, our favourite rock bands, our favourite Vloggers and, er, Sims going wrong and our favourite ways of killing off unwanted Sims characters when we were younger.
I also got the experience of trying the Emotional Brilliance colour wheel which was super interesting! Basically they spin the wheel and you pick out three colours – the ones that speak out to you the most. The first represents your strengths or weaknesses, the second your subconscious and the third your aspirations. I got control, fantasy and believe. In the end we decided this referred to control being a weakness in my love life (I can never control my own feelings and hate it!), fantasy being my wild fantasies of writing a book, marrying a rockstar and touring the world with him and believe being that….I should believe I can achieve my fantasies and gain control of my feelings haha!
I loved mooching around the store after hours and finding previously undiscovered products that I’ve never seen before (as I always seem to be in a rush when I shop in store!), including these amazing dry toothpastes, perfect for gigs! Look how cute they are!
On top of that, there really are some really funky products just for Valentines. It’s great that there are products that can be used as a couple rather then alone and I love how it’s not just a bunch of bath bombs to use just in the bath for Valentines; there are massage bars too and more.
It was a beyond lovely evening and I really enjoyed the whole theme of the night. It was so laid back and chilled, and rather then just listening to the team talk about their new products, we were encouraged to try things, ask for demonstrations with different items etc. It was so nice just being able to chat to everyone as well and as such a small group of us were there, it was a lovely atmosphere. I’m very appreciative of Lush for the invite and left with a huge smile on my face and a few gorgeous freebies too.
