So, March has been a weird month, eh? I actually didn’t get up to much (understandably), so this may be my last monthly round-up post for a while. Luckily I did get out a few times before this whole ‘self-isolation’ thing kicked off so I wanted to share anyway!

Featuring a photo in a dirty mirror (oops) of my new favourite jumper I got in my latest Lookiero. Yes, I’ve worn it constantly since it arrived. It’s soooo cozy.

A TRIP TO NOTTINGHAM
It was my boyfriend’s birthday early in March! We’d already booked to go to Crazy Bear Hotel for a joint birthday/half-anniversary celebration, but unfortunately, that has been pushed back for now. So on his birthday weekend, we took a trip to Nottingham to visit Warhammer World (Warhammer is being mentioned a lot on this blog now, isn’t it?), which was so much fun. The models were amazing and it was really fascinating to see how much work had gone into the models. It was also quite eye-opening to learn more about it all and see how popular it is. After lunch, we visiting Nottingham Caves before heading home. It turns out there’s a lot to do in Nottingham so I’d love to go back one day!

VISITING BUCKINGHAM
We also went to see my boyfriend’s family just before this all kicked off. Buckingham is a real nice place and we spent a sunny day seeing his family. We also popped into Buckingham’s Old Gaol museum which I’d never been to (well I’d never even been to Buckingham before meeting my boyfriend), and my boyfriend hadn’t been since he was young. Despite being a small museum, we spent a good hour walking round and learning about Buckingham’s history. It was just a cute way to spend the afternoon.

SEEING MY FAMILY
Toward’s the end of the month, it was the five year anniversary of my Mum’s passing – and it’s so weird to think about how much time has passed. It’s sad that she never knew she was soon to have a granddaughter, and I certainly find it tough not being able to talk to her about my new house or things like that. I miss her so much. I headed back to Dunstable just before Mother’s Day and met up with my brother and sister to take some flowers up to the grave together. We then headed back to my Dad’s for lunch – so during one visit I got to spend a few hours with nearly my whole family which was really nice – especially now that I can’t go and see them at all! It was just a nice day just ‘being’ with my family. I, unfortunately, didn’t see my Nan because I didn’t want to risk it, but am still speaking to her regularly. She’s pretty positive about this whole thing – mainly because she has an entire freezer full of homemade curry, haha.

SELF-ISOLATING
Luckily we were sent home from work about a week or two before this whole thing really kicked off so I’ve settled into ‘working from home’ quite easily. I don’t really have much to say – I’ve got enough blog posts talking about it all – but the only challenges I’ve really had so far is missing the outside and missing my family. I’m worried about the situation as a whole too of course, however I’m trying not to focus on worrying.

That’s about it for March! The month started off pretty positive..before going quite weird. But I take solace in the fact that a) we’re all in this together and b) I’m safe at home.

What did you all get up to this month before self-isolating? Let me know!
